Getting started

Do I need an account to read?

No. All published stories are freely accessible without an account. You need an account to follow series, track reading progress, or publish your own work.

How do I create an account?

Click Sign up in the top-right corner of any page. Enter your email and choose a password. That is it — no phone number, no credit card required.

Is Xofanic free?

Yes. Reading on Xofanic is free. Publishing is free. We plan to keep core reading and creator tools free permanently, and will be transparent about any future paid features before introducing them.

Reading

How do I start reading a series?

Find a series on the homepage or through search, then open its page. You will see a list of available chapters — click any chapter to start reading. Chapters are read top-to-bottom by default.

Can I track where I left off?

Yes, if you are signed in. Your reading progress is saved automatically per chapter. The series page will highlight the last chapter you opened.

How do I navigate between chapters?

At the end of each chapter there are Previous and Next buttons. You can also go back to the series page at any time via the header link.

What if a series I follow stops updating?

We mark series with their current status — Ongoing, Hiatus, or Completed. If a creator marks their series as on hiatus or completed, that will show on the series page.

Creating a series

How do I publish a series?

Sign in, then open your Dashboard and click Create new series. Fill in the title, description, genres, and upload a cover image. Once saved, you can add chapters from the series page.

What image formats are supported?

Covers and banners support JPG, PNG, and WebP. Chapter pages support JPG and PNG. There is a 4 MB limit on covers and banners, and 8 MB per page image.

Can I publish chapters as drafts first?

Yes. Chapters default to Draft when created. Only you can see draft chapters. Set them to Published when you are ready for readers.

Can I delete or unpublish a series?

You can edit or unpublish a series at any time from your Dashboard. Deleting a series is permanent and removes all chapters and pages — we cannot recover deleted content.

Are there content guidelines?

Yes. Xofanic does not allow content that depicts illegal acts, is hateful toward protected groups, or violates third-party intellectual property rights without permission. Mature content must be appropriately flagged. See our Terms of Service for the full list.

Account & settings

How do I change my username or avatar?

Go to Settings from the top-right profile menu. You can update your display name, username, bio, and avatar there.

How do I change my password?

In Settings, scroll to the Password section. Enter your current password and your new password, then save.

How do I delete my account?

Account deletion is handled through our Personal Data page. Once deleted, your account and all associated data are permanently removed. Published series will also be removed unless you transfer them before deletion.

Technical

Which browsers does Xofanic support?

Xofanic works best on the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. We do not support Internet Explorer.

Images are not loading — what should I do?

Try a hard refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R or Cmd+Shift+R). If the problem continues, check your internet connection. Occasionally our image storage may experience brief outages — if so, it typically resolves within a few minutes.

How do I report a bug?

Use the Feedback page and select Bug Report as the type. Describe what you expected, what happened, and your browser and OS. Screenshots are very helpful.
